For 13-17 year olds

2014 is the Chinese Year of the Horse, let’s celebrate by creating a clay horse inspired by those seen around the Gallery.

The day begins with practice drawings of horses in the artworks around the gallery. We will then take the sketches back to the studio where ceramic artist Cath Fogarty will help bring these ideas to life, turning the 2D into 3D. Be as realistic and technical or as whimsical and creative as you like, applying the skills Cath will show you to complete your masterpiece.

All materials provided. The completed sculptures will be kiln fired to be collected at a later date. Class is repeated on Wednesday 2 July.

Proudly sponsored by Faber-Castell
