Create a stunning portfolio of vibrant colour etchings in this hands-on two-day workshop. Seraphina Martin will demonstrate and teach practical techniques used in solar plate etching. Using the sun and water instead of acids and solvents, solar plate etching is a quick, simple and safe alternative to traditional etching.

Transform your, drawings, collages or photographs into unique state of the art prints. Many colour variations will be demonstrated and applied as well as chine collee. Bring your own drawings and reference materials to create the images you will print. Alternatively, printed images will be available on the day, to assemble on the solar plate. Organic leaves, feathers and textures will be incorporated from the natural world.

All materials and class notes provided.

Bring your lunch, or buy at the Gallery cafe.
