6.30pm - 9.00pm
The sensational Geraldine Turner and Maestro Brian Castles-Onion return to the Resonate stage to perform the songs of the great Belgian composer and master of the modern chanson, Jacques Brel.
Experience Australia’s finest cabaret performer in some of the repertoire she loves – including Ne me quitte pas, Mon enfance, The middle class, Song for old lovers, If we only have love and the breathtaking tour-de-force Carousel.
‘For a performer, there is nothing better. As you sing Brel, you can almost feel him standing in the middle of the song with you. You become the song with him. He gets under your skin. You never tire of the stories, the profound lyrics, the emotion, the humour and the pathos. They all touch the soul.’
After the concert, enjoy a special viewing of the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2021 exhibition and Archie 100, a landmark exhibition exploring the rich history of the Archibald Prize.
