Gain insight into the drawing techniques of Abdul Abdullah, five-time Archibald finalist, a five-time Sulman finalist and a Wynne finalist in this technique focused masterclass. Learn how Abdul considers proportion, finds the right angles and tonal comparison as he takes you through drawing-for-painting, drawing-for-drawing, and the top-down approach. Includes a demonstration of his palette preparation, colour mixing and matching, and paint application techniques.
Abdul works across all mediums and is primarily interested in the human experience in a contemporary, multicultural Australian context.
These workshops are suitable for people with drawing and painting experience, wishing to extend their skills and practice.
Participants are required to supply their own materials for the workshop. A materials list will be available with booking.
Light lunch included.
Bookings are essential. There will be no walk-up ticket sales on the day.
