Nora Heysen was the first woman to win the Archibald Prize and the first woman appointed as an official war artist. Join Anne-Louise Willoughby, author of 'Nora Heysen: A portrait', in conversation with Denise Mimmocchi, Senior Curator of Australian Art at AGNSW as they discuss the life of this remarkable artist with an all-consuming passion to draw and paint.

'Nora Heysen: A portrait' is the first biography written of the artist and will be available for purchase and signing in the Gallery shop at the conclusion of this event.
